A giant crowned toad, sitting on his throne of mire like a king, with a scepter of marsh wood. It's a fight about space: the poison pools gradually take over the arena and the leap forces everyone to move. At half health he becomes Pestilent Bufo and starts calling toadlets and tadpoles.

Bufo abilities

Puffed Throat

Puffs up his throat behind a shield worth 1.2% of his life for 5 s: break the shield in time and he is dazed for 5 s, taking 50% more damage; otherwise his throat bursts across 5 tiles around him.

Crushing Leap

Leaps onto whoever it is chasing and crushes a 2-tile circle around them (stuns 1 s): run out of the circle.

Call of the Toadlets

Calls 3 toadlets that chase whoever is closest. Kill them before they pile up.

Protective Brood

Calls 3 tadpoles that protect it: while one lives, Bufo takes no damage at all. Take down the tadpoles first.

Pestilent Cloud

A ring of gas 2 to 3 tiles from it: stay right next to it or 4 or more tiles away.

Party mechanic

In the first stage, Puffed Throat asks the group to break the shield before the warning ends; in the second, the tadpoles protect the boss until they are taken down.

Every boss warns before attacking: the danger tiles light up in color on the ground and a square grows until it fills; anyone still there when the warning ends takes the hit. Two-stage bosses transform at half health, are immune during the transformation and start using new skills. Near the end they enter desperation and attack faster. Bosses cannot be stunned, rooted or slowed. Every boss and miniboss also has a group mechanic: a shield to break, towers to occupy, a hit to split, spikes, fixation and helpers that protect them.
