Bosses

The bosses of Makhes

Every boss warns before attacking: the danger tiles light up in color on the ground and a square grows until it fills; anyone still there when the warning ends takes the hit. Two-stage bosses transform at half health, are immune during the transformation and start using new skills. Near the end they enter desperation and attack faster. Bosses cannot be stunned, rooted or slowed. Every boss and miniboss also has a group mechanic: a shield to break, towers to occupy, a hit to split, spikes, fixation and helpers that protect them.

Minibosses sit between common creatures and each region's boss: they have only one stage, two skills telegraphed on the ground and one group mechanic. They can be stunned, but not rooted, and they enter desperation near the end of their health.
